Job summary

The State of Oklahoma, Office of Management and Enterprise Services, seeks an Accessibility and Content Editor to transform complex information into readable, 508-compliant materials while maintaining strong editorial standards and consistent branding across all channels.

In this role, you will support the Outreach Division, coordinate editing tasks, ensure accuracy, and uphold OMES branding. On-site in Oklahoma City with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field or four (4) years of professional editing experience.
  • Experience using remediation software, preferably CommonLook.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills following AP Style guides.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assist with researching, writing and editing informational and educational publications, bulletins, powerpoints and other communication materials.
  • Correct grammar, spelling and punctuation errors following AP Style guides.
  • Fact-check customer content.
  • Ensure documents are 508-compliant, readable to the target audience and comply with OMES branding.
  • Other duties as assigned.
