Job summary

Dominican University in River Forest, IL seeks a Coordinator of Accommodations and Disability Access to ensure equitable access for students with disabilities. You will develop academic adjustments, oversee assistive technologies, and provide guidance on ADA and FERPA compliance.

Responsibilities include managing exams, data analysis, and collaborating with the Student Affairs division to enhance student development and universal design across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, special education, or related field.
• Knowledge of ADA, FERPA, Rehabilitation Act, and other laws governing higher education and disability services.
• Experience with assistive technology and digital resources.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders (students, faculty, and staff).

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and implement accommodations to ensure ADA compliance and institutional policy adherence.
• Consult with faculty and students on reasonable accommodations aligned with course objectives.
• Manage exam accommodations, including setup and supervision in the Academic Success Center.
• Maintain inventory of assistive technology and recommend acquisitions.
• Analyze service data and prepare periodic reports with division leads.
• Oversee documentation retention, case management, and FERPA-compliant records.
