Summary

The Access & Reimbursement Manager, NPS (Novartis Patient Support) MS (Multiple Sclerosis) is a remote and field-based role covering Connecticut, Rhode Island, and most of New York. The candidate must reside within the territory or within a 60-mile commute of the border.

This role involves providing in-person or virtual education on access and reimbursement topics to healthcare providers and staff, supporting product access strategies, and acting as the local market access expert on payer policies, billing, coding, claims processing, and reimbursement programs. The ARM collaborates with other NPC teams, including Customer Engagement and Market Access, to address customer needs and ensure compliance with company policies and privacy laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support patient access by educating providers and staff on product-specific programs and integrating these into office workflows.
  • Respond to questions about NPC policies on product ordering, payment, inventory, and returns.
  • Collaborate with practice staff to resolve reimbursement issues, analyze access trends, and support local coverage decisions.
  • Manage and support NPC-sponsored patient programs, such as Co-pay assistance.
  • Maintain expertise on regional access landscapes and healthcare policy changes.
  • Coordinate with the Patient Support Center on case management, reimbursement issues, and patient coverage challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company guidelines when handling patient information.
  • Report adverse events through established systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in reimbursement, managed care, or pharmaceutical sales, with specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of CMS policies, Medicare Parts B and D, and managed care sectors is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Strong relationship-building skills within healthcare practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Additional Information

The salary range is approximately $138,600 to $257,400 annually, with potential additional benefits and bonuses. The role requires successful completion of initial training and ongoing travel within the assigned territory.
