Responsibilities

• Visit assigned residential and commercial properties throughout the market, often several per day.
• Identify the right decision-makers and coordinate with property owners, managers, superintendents, and staff to secure site access.
• Explain project needs clearly and obtain required information, approvals, and documentation before work begins.
• Document access restrictions, property conditions, contacts, and issues affecting scheduled work.
• Photograph and document field conditions as needed and keep detailed records in tracking systems.
• Manage an assigned portfolio of properties and follow open items through to resolution, escalating when appropriate.
• Prioritize daily activities around construction schedules and project priorities.
• Work with construction crews and project teams, providing timely status updates.

Access Coordinator

Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking an Access Coordinator to join our telecommunications Access Team in New York City. In this role, you will secure, coordinate, and document access to residential and commercial properties so construction and network projects can move forward on schedule.

This is a field-first position. You'll spend most of your day visiting properties across the assigned market, meeting with property owners, managers, and building staff, and working through whatever stands between crews and the work. If you're comfortable approaching new people, persistent about getting answers, and organized enough to keep dozens of open items moving at once, this role is a strong fit. It is not a desk-based project management position.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit assigned residential and commercial properties throughout the market, often several per day.
• Identify the right decision-makers and coordinate with property owners, property managers, superintendents, and building staff to secure site access.
• Explain project needs clearly and professionally, and obtain the information, approvals, and documentation required before work can begin.
• Identify and document access restrictions, property conditions, contacts, and any other issues that could affect scheduled work.
• Photograph and document field conditions as needed.
• Keep detailed, accurate records of each visit — contacts, outcomes, outstanding items, and next steps — in the required tracking systems.
• Manage an assigned portfolio of properties and follow every open item through to resolution, escalating when appropriate.
• Prioritize your day around construction schedules, access requirements, and project priorities.
• Work closely with construction crews, project managers, field operations, and other internal and external partners, providing timely status updates.
• Represent PRG and our clients with a professional appearance and communication style.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in a field-based, customer-facing, or coordination role. Backgrounds that translate well include:
• Telecommunications or cable field operations
• Construction coordination
• Property or facilities management
• Utility coordination
• Right-of-entry, property access, or site acquisition
• Permitting or field inspection
• Deep telecommunications construction experience is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and confidence engaging with people at all levels.
• Persistence and follow-through — you don't let open items stall.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with accurate record-keeping.
• Sound problem-solving skills and good judgment about when to elevate.
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal day-to-day supervision, while collaborating well with a broader team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• A college degree is preferred, but not required.
• The majority of your time will be spent in the field, with regular travel throughout the assigned market.
• Fieldwork includes walking properties, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• A valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and appropriate auto insurance are required.
