Job summary

Corevia Search is seeking an Access Controls Project Manager to lead the physical security package for a hyperscale data center near Chicago, IL, from preconstruction through installation, testing and turnover.

The role requires managing access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, electronic locking and coordinating with GC, IT, security, MEP and commissioning teams. Strong data center or mission-critical experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, electronic locking and integrated physical security systems

• Coordinate access-control installation with GC, IT, security, MEP and commissioning teams
• Oversee testing, punch lists, closeout and final turnover
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and scope gaps across security and low-voltage packages
• Drive project delivery against schedule and commissioning milestones

Access Controls Project Manager – Hyperscale Data Center | Near Chicago, Illinois

I’m partnered with a General Contractor delivering a major hyperscale data center project. They’re looking for an Access Controls Project Manager to lead the physical security and access-control package from preconstruction through installation, testing and final turnover.

• Direct Hire | Near Chicago
• Total package up to and around $300,000
• Two return flights home per month (9 days onsite, Friday home/remote, returning Monday)
• Must have data center experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, electronic locking and integrated physical security systems
• Manage security integrators, subcontractors, schedule, budget, procurement and quality
• Coordinate access-control installation with GC, IT, security, MEP and commissioning teams
• Oversee testing, punch lists, closeout and final turnover
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and scope gaps across security and low-voltage packages

Ideal Background

• Strong hyperscale or mission-critical data center experience

• Background with a GC, low-voltage contractor or security integrator preferred
