The University of Virginia is hiring for Access Control Technician or Senior Access Control Technician within Facilities Management in Charlottesville, VA. This full-time role offers a defined pay range and benefits, with opportunities to lead small projects at the Senior level.

Responsibilities cover installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, software usage, locksmithing, and responsive service across university facilities and medical center environments.

Formación

• 2 years of experience with electronic access control systems.
• 4 years of experience for Senior level, as applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Install card readers, sensors, door hardware, and control boards.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair access control equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electronic equipment.
• Maintain door-opening devices and adjust hardware for proper closure.
• Use access control software and mobile apps for programming and reporting.
• Assist locksmith services and maintain security of facilities.
• Handle service calls and after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Oversee small projects and maintain inventory (Senior level).
