Job summary

Acme Lock & Door is seeking an Access Control Technician to focus on commercial projects in Cincinnati. You will mount and wire electrified hardware, install and program readers and locks, and collaborate with integration partners to ensure secure, compliant installations.

The role requires 2+ years in access control installation, the ability to read wiring diagrams, familiarity with security standards, and a clean driving record. Standard M-F schedule, on-site work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in access control installation and electrified hardware.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical specs.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for access control and security system installation.
• Ability to work a standard schedule Monday to Friday, 8am–4:30pm.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Mount and wire electrified hardware, such as electric strikes, magnetic locks, and electrified exit devices.
• Collaborate with integration partners and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with existing security infrastructure.
• Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality and compliance with project requirements.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot access control systems, including card readers, keypads, biometric devices, and electronic locks.
• Provide training and support to end-users on system operation and maintenance.
• Document installation activities, including wiring diagrams, configuration settings, and test results.

We are hiring for an Access Control Technician to join our Access Control division, to primarily focus on commercial projects. This position requires experience with low-voltage wiring, system integration, and troubleshooting; experience with commercial doors, hardware, and electronic security; along with a dedication to providing top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities
