Job summary

Acme | Lock & Door, founded in 1933, seeks an experienced Automatic Door Technician to join our field service team in the Cincinnati area. You will install, repair and maintain automatic doors and entrance systems on commercial sites, while delivering strong customer service and on-site problem solving.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in this domain, solid electrical/mechanical aptitude, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing or servicing automatic doors or similar systems.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, or troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using power and hand tools.
• Ability to work independently in field environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable working in physical environments (lifting, climbing, standing for extended periods).

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, service and maintain automatic doors, automatic operators, ADA operators, turnstiles, revolving doors, and entrance systems.
• Troubleshoot automatic door/operator issues, including mechanical, electrical, low-voltage, sensor, activation, and control-related problems.
• Diagnose issues and recommend solutions to improve system performance.
• Meet with customers onsite to review completed work and ensure satisfaction.
• Complete service calls, work orders, and job documentation accurately and on time.
• Track parts, materials, and labor while coordinating with office support teams.
• Manage inventory and maintain organization of your company-issued vehicle.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional job site at all times.

We are hiring for an experienced Automatic Door Technician to join our growing field service team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, solving problems in the field, and providing excellent customer service.You’ll work directly on commercial job sites supporting the installation, repair, and maintenance of automatic doors, entrance systems, and related security products .

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, service and maintain automatic doors, automatic operators, ADA operators, turnstiles, revolving doors, and entrance systems

You’ll work across a variety of commercial environments.

This role requires:

• Standing, bending, and working at heights
• Lifting up to 75 lbs
• Working in non-climate-controlled environments
• Overtime and weekend work as needed
• Participation in an on-call rotation with the technician team
