Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a trades helper program or apprenticeship or an associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Five years in electronics with four years in commercial installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Electronics trade competency test or associate degree to progress after 18 months.
• Ability to meet industry standards and safety precautions.
• Valid driver's license and ownership of hand tools.
• Frequent lifting 26–75 pounds and occasional lifting over 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• 50% Installation of electronic access control and security camera systems.
• 20% Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment and related systems.
• 10% Perform preventive maintenance on electronic systems.
• 10% Interpret blueprints, as-builts and specifications for repairs and projects.
• 10% Correspondence, training, meetings and professional development.
