Job summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking an Access Control Specialist to manage access to facilities and restricted areas by verifying credentials, processing visitors, and monitoring security measures. You will be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel.

The role requires handling entry procedures, reporting security concerns, and maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor while ensuring compliance with procedures and government/security protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain and maintain a TS clearance.
• Experience in government, military, industrial, or secure environments preferred.
• Experience interacting with the public and providing customer service is desirable.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Control access to facilities, restricted areas, and government property by verifying credentials, authorization documents, badges, visitor passes, and identification.
• Process employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and authorized guests in accordance with access control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points to ensure compliance with site security requirements.
• Conduct interior and exterior security inspections and report concerns or violations.
• Verify access authorizations and resolve routine access issues through established procedures.
• Maintain awareness of security conditions and promptly report incidents or emergencies.
• Greet and assist employees, visitors, contractors, government personnel, and VIP guests.
• Provide directions and information regarding facility access procedures.
• Maintain a courteous, professional, service-oriented approach during interactions.
• Support visitor escort and access procedures as required.
• Communicate clearly with personnel at all levels of the organization.
• Other duties as assigned
