Job summary

Chenega Security SBU is seeking an Access Control Specialist to manage credential verification, visitor processing, and security monitoring for designated facilities. The role serves as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment.

The position requires high school diploma or GED, experience in access control or related security roles, and an active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in access control, security, or related fields preferred.
• Experience in government, military, industrial, or secured environments is preferred.
• Public-facing customer service experience is highly desirable.
• Must maintain composure under pressure and exercise sound judgment.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Control access to facilities and restricted areas by verifying credentials and badges.
• Process employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors per procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points to ensure site security requirements.
• Conduct security inspections and report concerns or incidents.
• Verify authorizations and resolve routine access issues per procedures.
• Report emergencies or unusual activities promptly and accurately.
• Greet and assist employees, visitors, contractors, and VIPs professionally.
• Provide directions and information about access procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional interaction standards.
• Support escort and access procedures as required.
• Communicate clearly with personnel at all levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
