Job summary

Chenega Security International seeks an Access Control Specialist to manage entry to facilities, verify credentials, and process visitors while monitoring security. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees, contractors, and government personnel in a secure environment.

You will greet, assist, and guide staff and guests, maintain professional interactions, and follow established procedures to keep the site safe and welcoming in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in access control, security, military, law enforcement support, customer service, or related field preferred.
• Experience in government, military, industrial, or secured environments preferred.
• Public-facing experience and customer service is highly desirable.
• Ability to stay composed and exercise sound judgment in stressful situations.
• Active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Control access to facilities and restricted areas by verifying credentials and passes.
• Process employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and authorized guests per procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points to ensure security compliance.
• Conduct interior and exterior security inspections and report concerns.
• Verify access authorizations and resolve routine access issues.
• Maintain awareness of security conditions and report incidents.
• Greet and assist employees, visitors, contractors, government personnel, and VIPs.
• Provide directions regarding facility access procedures.
• Maintain courteous, professional interactions.
• Support visitor escort and access procedures as required.
• Communicate clearly with personnel at all levels.
• Other duties as assigned.
