Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Security Officer to support access control at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The role involves protecting facilities, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors while complying with safety standards.

You will work across shifts, including weekends and holidays, and may be required to travel on-site. A valid US driver’s license and readiness for this safety‑critical environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service and/or security experience preferred.
• Able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have a valid US Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Serving at a fixed access control point and/or making rounds on foot or by motor vehicle.
• Perform access control to critical facilities or processing areas by positive identification of personnel and confirmation of their possession of required credentials.
• Control access to hazardous operations through badge exchange to assure maximum personnel participation and emergency accountability.
• Communicates emergency situations to First Responders and security management.
• Observe and report violations of laws, regulations, policies, or procedures.
• Maintains comprehensive daily security logs.
• Completes detailed Security Incident Reports.
• Assists visitors and customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
