Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Badge Access Coordinator in York, PA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor alarm panels, and provide a welcoming presence for visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening are required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws; valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, vendors, and guests while carrying out security-related procedures and access-control requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor registrations, deliveries, and contractor authorizations per location procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and access-related logs; issue and collect badges as directed by policy.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns with calm, professional, problem-solving demeanour; notify appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of public areas, entrances, galleries, offices, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
