Job summary

Allied Universal, Houston, TX, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization Specialist to serve residents and protect property at a residential community. You will manage entry points, verify access, greet residents and visitors, and maintain a visible security presence.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience required.
• At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law; licensing may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, contractors, and visitors while managing access control procedures.
• Verify credentials and document entry of visitors and contractors.
• Respond to access-related concerns calmly and follow emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential areas, entry points, and perimeter.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, visitor logs, and incident documentation.
