Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Checkpoint in Edison, NJ. You will manage entry/exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Position is full-time with a pay rate of $19.12 per hour. You will follow site procedures, perform routine patrols, and respond calmly to incidents as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• At least six months of security-related experience.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit for personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, vehicle movements, and access-control events.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and coordinate with site contacts and emergency services.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
