Job summary

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join a dynamic team in Torrance, CA as a Security Officer Access Control Operations. You will safeguard clients, manage entry points, verify badges, and support a welcoming environment for employees, drivers, and guests.

As part of a site-based security team, you will use technology to document activity, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Qualifications

At least one year of security-related experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access and visitor records.
Control access to logistics and distribution areas, including receiving, shipping, trailer, and warehouse locations, in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and operational zones to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
