Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Access Control in Salina, KS to manage entry points, verify badges, monitor access, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism.

This full-time position at a logistics and distribution site includes a daytime schedule, competitive pay of $15.45 per hour, and opportunities for growth, training, and benefits through Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing access badges or passes, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, support gate entry and exit procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts, damaged barriers, or unusual activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
