Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Credentialing Services in Rye, NY. You will manage access control at residential sites, verify credentials, and respond to incidents while maintaining a welcoming security environment.

You will perform routine patrols, complete incident reports, and coordinate with residents and staff to ensure safety and smooth daily operations. Requires HS diploma, background check, and ability to work a set daytime/evening schedule.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Background histories considered according to laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the residential location by verifying visitor authorization, checking credentials, maintaining entry records, and directing guests according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entrances, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for access activity, incidents, patrols, and security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
