Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol in Christiansburg, VA. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, respond to alarms, and provide customer service at a manufacturing and industrial site.

Qualifications

Customer service experience preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
Alarm panel experience preferred.
Access control and badge experience preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Background check required by law.
Drug screen required by law.
Licensing requirements may apply.
Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel following site policies and emergency procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report per procedures.
Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior production areas, offices, parking, loading docks, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain visitor and vehicle documentation.
Observe and report hazards and security issues to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
