Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time - Access Screener in Pooler, GA. You will protect clients across logistics environments by screening individuals and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security concerns with professional customer service.

This role offers a full-time schedule, with daytime shifts and a pay rate of $16.87 per hour. Candidates should have security experience, a high school diploma, and be prepared for background checks and drug screening as

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or drivers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors entering the distribution location in accordance with site procedures, including verification of identification and authorized access.
• Inspect packages, parcels, and personal belongings as required by site protocols, documenting and reporting irregularities to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
