Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control in Summerville, SC to safeguard clients across industries. You will monitor access points, perform routine patrols, and provide exemplary customer service while using computer or tablet systems.

This full-time position offers a daytime to evening schedule and an hourly pay rate of $19.00. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), and background checks with a drug screen as permitted

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor, driver, and delivery traffic flow.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
