GardaWorld Security is seeking an Access Control Officer for a warehouse facility in Penns Grove, New Jersey. You will screen entrants with metal detectors and bag checks, verify credentials, and respond to alarms while maintaining a professional and courteous approach.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to pass an extensive screening process.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow screening procedures.
• Comfortable standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Good problem solving and communication skills.
• Security, Military, Law Enforcement, or screening experience is a plus.
• State license if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate walk-through metal detectors and handheld wands to screen entrants.
• Conduct bag, package, and personal item inspections per site policy.
• Identify and prevent prohibited items from entering or leaving the site.
• Control access points and verify badges and identities.
• Maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Respond quickly to alarms, incidents, or threats.
• Provide customer service while keeping screening moving.
• Write incident reports and policy violation records.
• Collaborate with management and authorities during serious situations.
• Ensure safety of people, inventory, and property.

As an Access Control Officer for a Warehouse Facility, you'll be the first line of defense at the entry and exit points. Whether it's metal detector screening, bag checks, or verifying credentials, we need you to operate with precision and professionalism every shift.

• Site Location: Penns Grove, New Jersey
• Set schedule 1 - Friday (7AM-3PM) Saturday and Sunday (3PM-11PM) (24 Hours Per Week)
• Set schedule 2 - Tuesday (7AM-3PM) Saturday and Sunday (11PM-7AM) (24HPW)

Responsibilities for Access Control Officer:

• Operate walk-through metal detectors and handheld wands to screen employees and visitors entering and exiting the facility
• Conduct bag, package, and personal item inspections in line with site policy
• Identify and prevent prohibited items from entering or leaving the warehouse
• Control access points and verify badges, credentials, and identities
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle logs
• Respond quickly to alarms, incidents, or potential threats
• Provide excellent customer service while keeping the screening process moving
• Write detailed reports on events, incidents, and policy violations
• Collaborate with site management and authorities during serious situations
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals, inventory, and property

Qualifications for Access Control Officer:

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow screening procedures consistently
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment
• Responsive with strong problem solving and communication skills
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement, or screening/checkpoint experience, even better!
• You have a state license if required
