UNC Finance and Operations in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a security systems technician to design and install card access, CCTV, and related hardware tailored to customer needs. You will anticipate maintenance issues by reviewing performance data and manufacturer notes, ensuring reliable security systems.

You will also mentor and orient lower grade technicians, maintaining safety and quality standards while supporting diverse departmental requirements on-site.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid NC Driver's License or be able to obtain one prior to hire.
• A valid NC Locksmith License is required, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Experience with security hardware and system installations is preferred.

a Sign-on Bonus Of $4,919 Is Available For The Successful Applicant Of This Position Paid In 2 Installments Within 12 Months Of Hire

$2,459.50 WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE DATE & $2,459.50 12 MONTHS AFTER HIRE DATE.

Serve as a technical resource supporting all lower grade technicians/personnel assigned to the shop in the areas of Security, Access, CCTV, remote integrated key access controls, and electrified and traditional hardware. Design Card Access, Security, and CCTV system installations customized to customer/departmental need and/or requirements. Anticipate and proactively pursue possible maintenance issues before they occur by examining system performance, trending past performance, and applying tech notes sent or posted by equipment/system manufacturers. Recognize and perform necessary training needs of lower grade technicians and orient new technicians/personnel assigned to the shop.
