Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Visitor Screening in Marion, NC to safeguard clients across government locations. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, maintain logs, and respond to incidents, working to deter unauthorized activity and support security operations.

The role requires strong customer service, professional communication, and adherence to post orders. An armed guard license is preferred, and background checks and a drug screen are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card/License preferred; licensing varies by state.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation required in line with federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law; licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors and authorized personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points; verify authorization, credentials and visitor documentation; control access per post orders.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor and delivery logs; issue and recover authorized credentials and passes.
• Respond to access-related incidents and alarms; notify site contacts and emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, access points and perimeter areas.
