Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment in Chicago is seeking a Venue Access Control Crew Member for Huntington Bank Pavilion. You will guard, patrol, and monitor venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions, and may operate metal detector equipment.

You will ensure safety for patrons, staff and assets, conduct regular building patrols, respond to security calls, maintain professionalism, and follow department policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Understanding of the rule of law and relevant penal codes.
  • Ability to represent the Security Department in an exemplary manner.
  • Ability to perform under pressure without loss of composure.
  • Ability to memorize, recollect, and retrieve information.
  • Ability to interact calmly with angry patrons and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and compile accurate incident reports.
  • Complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines and deadlines set by the Security Supervisors and/or the Manager of Security.
  • Interact with patrons, vendors, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

THE JOB

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current valid CA Guard card or security license optional.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • An understanding of the rule of law and the relevant penal codes.
  • Ability to represent the Security Department in an exemplary manner.
  • Ability to effectively perform in crises and work under pressure without the loss of composure.
  • Ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve relevant information.
  • Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional patrons and employees during intensely aggravated circumstances.
  • Ability to walk, stand, lift at least 45 lbs., reach, pull, push, grasp and drag.

Compensation

The expected compensation for this position is: $17.05 USD - $19.00 USD Hourly. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
