Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an Access Control & CCTV Technician to install and service security systems in the Charleston, SC area, including Beaufort and Bluffton. This contract-to-hire role offers a four-day, 10-hour work week, with overtime opportunities and competitive pay on commercial projects.

Responsibilities include pulling low-voltage cabling, installing cameras and readers, reading blueprints, and troubleshooting security systems on schools, offices, and government facilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of installation experience in a commercial environment
• Ability to work from ladders and lifts
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling
• Install and mount cameras and security devices
• Install access control equipment and door hardware
• Read blueprints, drawings, and device layouts
• Troubleshoot security and low-voltage systems
• Work on commercial projects including schools, offices, and government facilities
