Job summary

TriHealth's Good Samaritan Western Ridge Hospital in Cincinnati is hiring an Access Associate. You will handle scheduling and registration, coordinate with physicians and departments, and deliver excellent patient service in a fast-paced health system.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 1–2 years in customer service, strong computer skills, and fast, accurate data entry (35 wpm). Training begins with a two-week paid session in Norwood.

Requires 2 weeks of Full-time (approx 32 hours/week) Day paid training in Norwood.

Location: *Good Samaritan Western Ridge Hospital:6949 Good Samaritan Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45247

Work Schedule:

• Part-time Hours (24 hours/week)


• Split shift - 11am – 11pm


• Holiday/weekend rotation

Job Overview:

Performs Scheduling or Registration functions in a timely and accurate manner: working with TH ancillary departments to coordinate care and communicate with patients and physicians/offices to obtain information necessary to schedule and/or register patients. Provide excellent customer service and answer patient questions and resolve issues. Collect of copays, standard deposits and deductibles. SCHEDULING: schedule physician ordered tests in accordance with department guidelines; correlate medical diagnosis with ordered tests/procedures for medical necessity purposes that is required to receive reimbursement. REGISTRATION: educate patients on TH required legal compliance paperwork and provide financial triage (can properly direct patient with financial questions and explain concepts of insurance).
