Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and two (2) plus years of full-time professional experience. Strong customer service experience in a related customer-focused field (e.g. hospitality, educational support). Strong computer skills, including Google apps, Microsoft Office, and internet.
Preferred Qualifications:Instruction experience, including using LMS platforms such as Moodle or Blackboard. Experience in a library (academic or public). Experience using databases or online platforms, statistics and scheduling software tools, and office productivity software. Supervisory experience.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Access and User Services (AUS) Student Employment Manager will assist in the hiring, training, and scheduling of student employees for all AUS locations. This includes collaborating with the library’s personnel department to obtain applications, interviewing, and working with AUS staff on scheduling. This position will manage the online training modules and records for student training. The AUS Student Employment Manager will collaborate with area supervisors on scheduling of student employees and will assist in the deploying of the online training modules, including assessing the exercises and providing feedback to the student employees. The incumbent must possess excellent oral and written communication experience. The incumbent must have a demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and resolve complex challenges.The person in this position will also be responsible for providing service at assigned library locations, checking material in/out, responding to patron inquiries in person, over the phone, and online, and assisting with stacks projects such as shelving, retrieval, resource sharing processing.

This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,400 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
Essential Position: This has been designated as an essential position based on the duties of the job and the functions performed. Positions that are designated as such may be required to report to work/remain at work even if classes are canceled, and the campus is working on limited operations in an emergency.
