This is an entry-level position responsible for processing all releases of information (ROI), especially medical record requests, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and high-quality customer service. The associate must safeguard patient privacy, ensuring access is granted only to authorized individuals and all releases comply with requests, authorizations, company policies, and HIPAA regulations.

You will:
  1. Receive and process requests for patient health information according to company and facility policies.
  2. Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
  3. Stay updated on company and facility software.
  4. Follow the company's and facility's code of conduct and policies.
  5. Report work, site issues, or fluctuating volumes to your manager.
  6. Assist with additional duties as needed.
  7. Apply medical privacy regulations consistently to prevent unauthorized disclosures.
  8. Manage patient health records responsibly.
  9. Ensure records are accurate, complete, and properly organized.
  10. Create digital images of paperwork for electronic storage.
  11. Respond to record requests internally and externally, retrieving and transmitting information appropriately.
  12. Handle inbound and outbound calls.
  13. Assist with patient walk-ins and administrative tasks such as faxes, mail, and data entry.
  14. Meet productivity expectations as outlined at your site.
  15. Schedule patient record pickups if required.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to commute between locations as needed.
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Comfort with phones, fax machines, printers, and office equipment.
  • Professional communication skills in English.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in medical records.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus points if:
  • Experience in healthcare settings.
  • Previous production or metric-based work experience.
  • In-person customer service experience.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and customers on-site.
  • Willingness to contribute ideas and suggest process improvements.

Our compensation philosophy aims to be competitive and fair. The estimated salary range for this role is $15.00-$21.00/hr.
