Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering in Idaho Falls, ID, is seeking an Acceptable Knowledge Expert to support the AK Organization within the CH-Transuranic Programs.

The role extracts, analyzes, validates, and summarizes Process Knowledge and Acceptable Knowledge data from production and historical sources to support investigations, waste characterization, and treatment decisions. US citizenship required for the DOE contract.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analysis across multiple data sources.
• Proficiency with SQL for data access and analysis.
• Strong Excel and Access skills; ability to generate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Extract, analyze, validate, and summarize Process Knowledge and AK information.
• Create clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation and respond to department requests.
• Collect, summarize, and document information concerning waste-generating facilities, processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Enter information from historical records into tracking databases and maintain accurate data records.
• Evaluate container information to qualify containers for treatment processes and waste streams.
• Interpret and apply WIPP, WAP, RCRA, and TSCA requirements to AK activities.
• Assist with training, mentoring, and qualification of AK experts.
• Complete assignments efficiently, accurately, and within schedules.
