Job summary

Accenture Construct in the United States seeks a Senior Project/Construction Manager with extensive transit program experience. You will lead planning, design and execution across large-scale infrastructure projects, coordinating with operations, contractors and stakeholders to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The role requires 15+ years in PM/CM, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and excellence in communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of Project Management and/or Construction Management experience.
• Experience on large, transit related, public agency construction programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations during planning and design phases regarding constructability, phasing, logistics and operations interface.
• Assist with development of front-end contractor documents as required.
• Support risk identification and mitigation.
• Establish CM Standards in safety, scheduling, change management and quality plans.
• Assist in CM procurement activities and scope development.
• Prepare rough order of magnitude costs for construction items.
• Assist in oversight of CM contracts for capital projects.
• Coordinate construction activities among transit operations, infrastructure and contractors.
• Assist quality assurance for construction phase processes and deliverables.
• Attend progress meetings to facilitate schedule and issue resolution and maintain quality and consistency.

THE WORK:

• You’ll provide recommendations during planning and design phases of projects regarding constructability, phasing, logistics and operations interface to minimize costs and service disruptions.
• You’ll assist with development of front-end contractor documents as required.
• You’ll support risk identification and mitigation.
• You’ll support the establishment of CM Standards in areas such as safety, scheduling, contract change management, and quality plans.
• You’ll assist in CM procurement activities, including scope development, evaluation criteria, and developing levels of effort estimates.
• You’ll prepare rough order of magnitude costs for construction and construction change items.
• You’ll assist in the oversight of CM contracts for capital projects.
• You’ll assist in coordinating construction activities among transit operations, infrastructure, and contractors.
• You’ll assist in quality assurance for construction phase processes and deliverables.
• You’ll attend Construction Project Progress Meetings and topic specific project related meetings to facilitate schedule and issue resolution, and emphasize quality and consistency throughout the program.
• You’ll assist with management of the Adjacent Construction program.
• You’ll lead and/or assist in the development of Program Enhancements to improve overall quality, efficiency and consistency in areas such as Change Management, construction project activity look-aheads, improving ROW flagging support, bidding improvements, CM and Construction Contract procurements, specification updates and other areas as requested.
• Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Minimum of 15 years of Project Management and/or Construction Management experience
• Experience on large, transit related, public agency construction programs
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other construction related engineering discipline

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience with transit projects
• Expert understanding of construction industry processes and procedures
• Ability to effectively use of Microsoft Office software suite and Project Management Information Software
• Demonstrated ability to accurately and efficiently complete deliverables and meet deadlines while producing quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously managing several assignments
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and superior active listening skills

$180,000 - $190,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York or Washington as set forth below.
