Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a Lead Consultant in cost management to drive cost estimates, value engineering, and lifecycle cost options for large-scale data center and infrastructure programs in the United States. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, strategists and clients to optimize financial performance throughout design and construction.

The role requires 7+ years of cost management experience, a degree in a relevant field, and proficiency with CostX and Microsoft

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a cost/construction-focused field such as Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• 7+ years of cost management experience as Lead Consultant.
• Strong proficiency with cost estimation techniques and tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and cost plans using benchmarking data.
• Develop value engineering and life-cycle costing options to optimize efficiency.
• Identify risks and maintain the project Risk Register.
• Contribute to pre-contract meetings with cost-related insights.
• Create and manage cost control reports to track financial performance.
• Attend client meetings with senior colleagues and document actions.
• Participate in design team meetings, assess cost implications, and implement outcomes.
• Develop standardized project templates for documentation.
• Prepare and manage change order logs, invoice logs, and cost reports.
• Oversee measurements and pricing research for development appraisals and qualification reviews.
• Hybrid: work location includes remote, client site, or Accenture office; some in-person collaboration.

THE WORK:

$150,000 - $170,000 a year

HERE\'S WHAT YOU\'LL NEED:

• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent - in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Data Analytics or another cost / construction focused
• Lead Consultant: 7+ years of cost management experience

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience working in hyper-scale data centers is a plus
• Thorough and complete knowledge of the construction process and management techniques, methods, and materials.
• Proficient in the use of advanced functions in CostX to produce estimates, bills, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) at an appropriate level
