Michigan State University (FRIB) seeks an entry-level Mechanical Design Engineer to develop innovative CAD solutions for heavy-ion accelerator equipment. You will create 2-D/3-D drawings, apply GD&T, and assist with fabrication, assembly, and commissioning under the guidance of senior engineers.

You will document designs, review layouts, and collaborate with project leaders to transform requirements into robust hardware solutions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or closely related field.
• One to three years related drafting and fabrication experience in electronics, mechanical and/or electrical domains.
• Ability to work 100% on-site.

Responsabilidades

• Produce and document design solutions with CAD drawings/details.
• Create detailed drawings using 2-D/3-D models and GD&T.
• Support fabrication, assembly, and commissioning of equipment.
• Assist with transforming requirements into design solutions with SMEs.
• Review design layouts and budgets for construction, testing, and installation.
• Perform other duties within the job scope.
