Job summary

SIU Medicine invites applications for an academic physician to join the Division of Urology as a faculty member focused on teaching, clinical practice, and research in urologic oncology. The role supports medical students, residents, and fellows under the Chief of the Division.

The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate curricula, participate in resident and fellow training, engage in tumor boards, and pursue scholarly activity while maintaining a clinical urology oncology

Qualifications

• Sensitivity to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.
• MD or DO license.
• Completion of a urology residency program.
• Completion of a Urologic Oncology fellowship.
• Alternate pathway: ABU-certified or ABU-eligible.
• Illinois license eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows, with emphasis in Urologic Oncology.
• Participate in development and implementation of undergraduate curricula in urology.
• Maintain a clinical practice in Urologic Oncology.
• Participate in tumor boards and oncologic forums.
• Represent the division on committees and attend national meetings.
