Qualifications

• Two years of college (48 semester credits) or an associate's degree.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Ability to test and maintain accurate records on students.
• Experience working with diverse backgrounds in instructional settings.
• Demonstrated use of instructional technology in classroom support.
• Pass the Para Pro assessment and paraprofessional standards checklist.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring when scheduled to supplement instruction.
• Assist with classroom management and organize instructional materials.
• Compile and maintain accurate student attendance, testing, progress data.
• Provide information, materials and support to classroom instructors.
• Conduct parent involvement activities and coordinate school functions.
• Provide support in a library or media center.
• Under direct supervision of a teacher, deliver instructional support services.
• Assist with newsletters, announcements, events, and guest speakers.
• Conduct progress monitoring assessments and maintain records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
