Job summary

Georgetown Learning Centers (GLC) seeks qualified tutors and facilitators to help students succeed. You’ll build relationships, identify strengths/weaknesses, and craft programs guiding academic progress.

Assign/adjust sessions, tutor one-on-one or in small groups, and support SAT/ACT prep and college counseling. Part-time hours available, with potential growth into leadership and operations roles.

Qualifications

• Experience and desire to work with kids.
• Strong academic performance in math and science fields (GPA 3.0+).
• Excellent problem solving skills and an independent work ethic.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• History of community involvement and leadership.

Responsibilities

• One-on-one academic tutoring.
• Small class instruction.
• Organizational and study skills development.
• SAT/ACT preparation.
• College admissions counseling.
• Serving as a role model and mentor to students.
• Hours: Sundays 12–8 pm, Mon–Wed 2–10 pm, Thu 1:30–9:30 pm.
• Full-time tutors may assist in marketing, web design, outreach, and curriculum development.
