Job summary

City Year is seeking an Academic Tutor and Mentor to support students’ academic growth and social-emotional development in partner public schools. You will work on a diverse AmeriCorps team, providing in-class support, small-group and one-on-one tutoring in core subjects, and helping track student progress.

The role emphasizes serving as a positive role model and contributing to educational equity and student success within a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to students in core subjects.
• Lead small-group and one-on-one tutoring sessions.
• Track and report student progress to teachers and mentors.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students.
