Job summary

City Year in Oklahoma hires a full-time Academic Tutor and Mentor to support students in a partner public school. You will provide small-group tutoring, reinforce core subjects, and assist classroom teachers with guidance and mentorship.

In addition to tracking progress and building social-emotional skills, you will collaborate with AmeriCorps teammates and participate in training to help foster an inclusive, engaging learning environment while making a meaningful impact on students’ lives.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group tutoring, classroom support, and mentorship to help students succeed.
• Reinforce lessons in core subjects, track academic progress, and build students’ social-emotional skills and confidence.
• Collaborate with teachers and AmeriCorps team, participate in training and leadership development, and help create an inclusive, engaging school environment.
