Job summary

Weber State University is seeking tutors for the Ogden Learning Center to support WSU students in Zoology, Physics, Psychology, Nutrition, Botany, Microbiology, Geography, Geology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, and more. Training in tutoring techniques will be provided. Positions are pooled and hours range 7–20 per week.

Tutors work one-on-one or via drop-in sessions, with subject interests noted in applications. Background check required at hire.

Qualifications

• Must be a WSU student.
• Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor.
• A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring.
• Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
• Must participate in completing Levels I & II of tutor CRLA training.

Responsibilities

• Tutor WSU students in the subjects you propose at the Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department.
• Tutoring is done on an individual appointment and/or drop-in basis.
• Availability for appointments and/or drop-in hours are determined by the tutor.
