Job summary

City Year seeks an Academic Tutor and Mentor to serve in public schools, supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth. Working on a diverse AmeriCorps team, you will provide small-group and one-on-one tutoring in core subjects, reinforce classroom instruction, track student progress, and coach positive behaviors.

You’ll build relationships with students, teachers, and families while contributing to an inclusive, social justice–focused school climate.

Qualifications

• Tutoring in core subjects (math, literacy, science, etc.).
• Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
