Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors of North & West Cook County is seeking qualified tutors to deliver in-home instruction for K‑12 students based in Florida.

Tutors will adapt lessons to state standards and provide tailored assignments, ongoing assessments, and enrichment support to promote student success in a flexible, family‑oriented setting.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher.
• Experience as lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College.
• Master's or PhD student with teaching assistant experience.
• Holds Florida State teaching certificate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students based on state curriculum.
• Provide supplemental assignments to promote understanding of material.
• Provide remedial and enrichment support for students.
• Communicate with parents or guardians about student progress.
• Provide a customized approach tailored to individual student needs.

Requirements

• You hold a valid Florida State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof
• You are a current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate
• You have two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher.
• You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College
• You are a Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
