Job summary

WVU Medicine Thoracic and Esophageal Surgery Program in Martinsburg, WV seeks a General Thoracic Surgeon (Assistant/Associate/Professor) to join a renowned academic group with focus on minimally invasive lung and esophageal surgery and patient care.

The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows while contributing to a busy, research-active service line, collaborating with the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign educational equivalent), and be eligible for state medical license.
• Completed general surgery residency program, as well as cardiothoracic surgery fellowship.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in thoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Provide general thoracic surgical care, including minimally invasive techniques.
• Collaborate with WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.
