Job summary

WVU Heart & Vascular Institute in Morgantown, WV invites a board-certified/eligible cardiothoracic surgeon to join the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. The position includes clinical practice and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, with potential assignments at satellite sites in WV, MD, and PA.

Travel may be required. Candidates must hold an MD or DO, complete thoracic surgery training, and be eligible for licensure in West Virginia.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign equivalent required.
• Eligible for state medical license.
• Completed general surgery residency.
• Completed cardiothoracic surgery fellowship.
• Board eligible/certified in cardiothoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the area of cardiothoracic surgery.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• May be assigned to additional worksites in WV/MD/PA with travel.
