Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Health in Temple, TX seeks an academic BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon to lead non-cardiac thoracic surgery within the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. The role emphasizes teaching, research, and clinical excellence with minimally invasive approaches including robotics and VATS.

The ideal candidate will have thoracic residency/fellowship training, board certification, and experience in an academic setting.

Qualifications

• Completed ACGME-accredited thoracic training (residency/fellowship).
• Ability to provide non-cardiac adult thoracic surgery including benign/malignant pulmonary and esophageal disorders.
• 5+ years post training experience preferred; academic setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full spectrum non-cardiac adult thoracic surgical services.
• Contribute to growth of disease-based programs with Oncology and Pulmonary divisions.
• Support academic mission with teaching and research opportunities.
