Job summary

The University of Minnesota's Office of Information Technology seeks an Academic Technology Business/Systems Analyst to support enterprise applications used for teaching, learning, and research. The role focuses on administration, requirements gathering, and collaborative service improvement within the Academic Technology division.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, a background in business/systems analysis, and experience with enterprise software in higher education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or a master's degree or an equivalent combination.
• Experience administering a software application essential to business requirements.
• Experience eliciting and documenting user and business requirements for diverse audiences.
• Experience participating in or leading cross-functional teams to resolve challenges or launch services.

Responsibilities

• Administer and configure enterprise SaaS solutions.
• Analyze learning tool applications based on user needs and security imperatives.
• Address Tier 3 application support including on-call rotations.
• Identify root causes and propose solutions for improvements.
• Manage multiple small projects from concept to completion and document requirements.
• Develop test conditions and execute functional/system tests.
• Learn new applications independently and seek process improvements.
• Collaborate with Academic Technology and other stakeholders to enhance university services.
