Position Summary: The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks to hire an academic Surgical Pathologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or willingness to cover areas such as Gastrointestinal (GI), Head and Neck (ENT), Thoracic, Bone and Soft Tissue (BST), or Cytology. Candidates interested in covering multiple services are encouraged to apply. The role includes general frozen section coverage, and the candidate may join the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Opportunities for teaching in the School of Medicine and Graduate School will be available.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Candidates must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, be board-certified or eligible in Anatomic Pathology, and be eligible for a North Carolina medical license.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience: Sign-out experience and/or fellowship training in GI/Liver are strongly preferred.
