The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is seeking to recruit an academic Surgical Pathologist for a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are a subspecialized surgical pathology division, and preference will be given to candidates with experience in and willingness to provide coverage in Gastrointestinal (GI), Head and Neck (ENT), Thoracic, Bone and Soft Tissue (BST), and/or Cytology. However, those with interest in covering multiple services, regardless of specialty, are encouraged to apply. This position will involve general frozen section coverage. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Regular opportunities are available for teaching in the School of Medicine and the Graduate School.




Applicants must have an MD, DO or other MD-equivalent degree, be board-certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology, and be eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.




Sign-out experience and/or fellowship training in GI/Liver is strongly preferred.
