Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, counseling, student personnel/development, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in academic support, advising, retention, or related programs in a college setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse student groups and maintain FERPA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Meet with assigned students to provide ongoing academic support.
• Assist with planning and implementing programming for struggling students.
• Coordinate activities for the Sophomore Support program.
• Coordinate breakout sessions for families at New Student Orientation and assist with parent/family programming.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid to develop academic plans for students on aid probation.
• Help students develop time management and organizational skills.
• Maintain confidential records and prepare reports related to primary functions.
• Attend staff meetings and university events related to recruiting and orientation.
