Job description

The Academic Success & Tutoring Manager researches, develops, and facilitates high quality tutoring experiences for students in their assigned school district-wide. The Academic Success & Tutoring Manager will work closely with academic leadership and faculty to proactively provide academic support and host events designed to increase student engagement and success in the classroom. This position will provide leadership to supervisor/coordinators across the district and assist in the recruitment and training of tutors. The Academic Success & Tutoring Manager is responsible for developing and managing a budget to support the school district-wide and for collaborating with other Academic Success & Tutoring Managers to facilitate the development and management of a districtwide budget for collaborative events. In addition to districtwide duties, the Academic Success & Tutoring Manager will facilitate campus specific needs in relation to facilities, the distribution of promotional materials for all schools, and the resolution of emergent campus student and/or personnel issues.

Supervises assigned school for the district to include:

• Proactively facilitate the creation of current AS&T supplemental content for faculty and on-demand use by students.
• Research, identify, and provide programming for students to address problem concepts and/or challenging classes within the school.
• Proactively facilitate the creation of current AS&T supplemental content for faculty and on-demand use by students.
• Proactively facilitate Academic Success & Tutoring programs and events specific to the school that are designed to increase success in the classroom.
• In collaboration with all Academic Success & Tutoring Managers, develops operating procedures and policies and the appropriate staffing needs for service hours to facilitate student engagement.
• Track, evaluate, and report student data to drive decisions and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Proactively build relationships with leadership and faculty within the school to facilitate open communication and opportunities for shared service to students.
• Attend school division and department meetings.
• Supervise and support district-wide school supervisory staff – including timekeeping, evaluation, training, etc.
• Address escalated challenges/complaints related to Academic Success & Tutoring services.
• Collaborate with other Academic Success & Tutoring Managers to ensure consistent student experiences.
• In collaboration with Academic Success & Tutoring Managers, develop job descriptions and evaluation metrics for all Academic Success & Tutoring tutors.
• In collaboration with AS&T managers, develop and coordinate consistent onboarding and training experiences for tutors.
• Assist in the case management and work of early alerts.

• Master’s Degree or a minimum of three (3) years of full-time relevant experience showing progressive responsibilities.
